A Brief History . . .

March 1, 1999 Bruce Bowers President of Millennial Landscape Services, Inc., having nearly 10 years of experience in the landscape field, accomplished a goal of owning his own business. That day Millennial Landscape Services, Inc. was born. Bruce took his Bachelors degree in Horticulture and turned it into a working art. He uses his degree with an emphasis in landscape construction and maintenance from Utah State University in the day to day operations of MLS.

The first year Millennial Landscape Services, Inc. had 11 employees and had a great year. The business was run out of the house until July and then moved to 716 N. Main in Bellevue. We realized we had a great team and our potential was even greater. In the year 2000 MLS was doing so well we added 7 more employees and another 3 in 2001, to keep up with demand. In October of 2001, we incorporated the business, and had another good growth period.

With our popularity growing even more in the 2002 season we again added more employees bringing our total seasonal employment to 30, which we maintained through 2003. In the fall of 2002, we came across the Polymizer, a device used to inject water polymers into existing grasses. Recognizing the potential of such a device in this time of impeding drought we bought one of only a few machines available in Idaho in the summer of 2003. This is a great instrument and will eventually prove its value in water savings, and grass performance.

Wanting to lead the industry in all aspects of landscaping, we are always looking for a better product. In doing so we found a new unique line of quality pavers from a company called Belgard. We entered into a distributorship with them in 2003, and are now able to provide the valley with a choice in pavers. We are excited and anxiously anticipating 2004 knowing that our dominos are all aligned and ready to fall into place. We are looking forward to more growth, more experience, and we look forward to meeting and serving you.
